"The test.. I wanted to stand behind your product
100% when people asked the burning question "does it
work?" The only way I could faithfully do that is by
conducting my own test. For the test, I enlisted the help of the
Tempe (Phoenix), Arizona police department. Needless to say the
officer was more interested in the Blinder's performance than I
was, though he didn't think it would work. Here's a copy from the
test report I wrote up a month ago. It's a little hyped up, but
all of the facts are correct. Also, the install pictures are here:

This test was conducted a month ago with the target car being
Dr. Jim L.'s 97 RSP (http://www.turbosupra.com).
The Blinder was installed on the front grill, and this car has a
front mounted intercooler which increases the infra-red
"visibility."
This test was set up by myself and V., a Phoenix police
officer. V. brought his friend who is a Tempe, AZ motorcycle
officer who has been extensively trained in laser gun operation.
The laser gun used was the BRAND NEW LTI Ultralyte II. Myself, V.,
and the officer stood next to the gun, Jim was driving the car. To
the test...
Jim first made a pass with the Blinder turned off. He was to
maintain a constant 45 mph until reaching the gun. While Jim was
driving to the starting point, the officer began clocking other
cars for the hell of it. I had heard that laser guns sometimes
take several fires to show a speed... Not true with this one.
Every time he aimed it at a moving object, the speed and distance
was instantly displayed. Likewise, all non moving objects had
their distance shown. The Ultralyte picked up Jim's car as far as
we could see.. 1287 ft. (BTW, the speed was dead on, 45 mph) On to
the jammed runs...
This pass was supposed to be identical to the previous pass,
the only difference being the Blinder is now turned on.
The gun was *COMPLETELY JAMMED* until 245 feet where a speed of
40 MPH was read. Needless to say the officer was stunned. If
you'll notice, however, the speed was off...
Laser guns, just like radar guns, are subjected to a cosine
error. Basically, the more of an angle the gun is aimed at, the
lower the speed. At 245 feet, the angle was about 15 degrees. We hypothesized
that the reason any speed reading was measured was because the gun
fell out of the Blinder's field of vision.
On the next pass, we stood on the sidewalk next to the road to
minimize any angle discrepancy. Officers know to keep the angle
between the gun and car low, so they'll be as close to the street
as they can get. On this next pass, the gun was COMPLETELY JAMMED
AT ALL DISTANCES. The $5000 laser gun was rendered a complete joke
by the $300 Blinder. Better yet, the Blinder never set off the
gun's jam code. Rather, the gun kept reading "excessive
light." Incredible.
To test the angle theory one more time, another pass was made
with the gun sitting on the OTHER side of the road. Again, the
speed was read at 235 ft at 41 MPH. The officer said he didn't
like to shoot cars that close because of the angle error, he can
be easily spotted, and he doesn't have time to pull out after the
offending car.
If you're hit at 600 feet, you'll have PLENTY of time to slow
down before the officer can have a hope to get a speed reading
with this unit.
I should also mention that the Valentine One was part of this
test. It correctly identified the direction of each and every
laser shot.
That was basically the test... Thanks for your help and
the great product!"
